Laughing at my Nightmare
I read the book Laughing at my Nightmare by Shane Burcaw. It was about a man with SMA or spinal muscular atrophy, and his stories with SMA. He would tell stories from Interactions with peers to awkward situations. One story that stood out to me is when he was presenting in front of the class and his jaw muscles got weak and no one could understand him. Another story that I like is when Shane asked out the girl in 5th grade and she denied him, so he chased her around the playground.
I loved this book because I found Shane’s stories Hilarious and Amazing. Throughout the book I admired how he handled situations. Usually when he gets in embarrassing situations it ends in Shane and other people laughing uncontrollably. I loved his sense of humor and creative cursing. I would suggest this book to my friends because it is an all out funny and interesting book.
